Project

In line with our vocation, we have realized that following the emergence of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak, most civil society organizations (CSO’s) are hard hit. This is because most organizations that work in the civil society space have specific and well-defined missions most times in line with the specific social problem they work to solve in their communities. With a disease outbreak of this magnitude, most CSO operations are disrupted with no clear direction on how to optimize their offering and use their influence for positive change.

As Ryculture Health and Social Innovation, based on research and evidence on the potential of CSOs to impact change, we are introducing #RycultureCSOChats starting on Saturday 25th April 2020. These will be weekly discussions on key strategies that CSOs can employ in the face of this pandemic to;

  • Stay relevant to their course of work
  • Leverage their power, influence and capacity to influence positive change in the midst of this pandemic.
  • Gear up for action post this pandemic.

Our focus will be on CSO’s working in the following key thematic areas i.e. Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR); Mental Health; Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) especially diabetes, cancer and hypertension; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); Environmental Conservation; Volunteering & Charity Networks; Education; Food Safety and Nutrition; Migrants, Refugees and Migrations; Religious Outfits and Faith Based Organizations; Professional Associations among others.

#RycultureCSOChat 1: Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Advocacy in the midst of COVID-19 Outbreak.

We will establish the CSO order of operation before COVID-19, the disruptions caused and extra challenges presented and how to go about working in the space with impact.
